Site System Role	Description
CAP	Installs new SMS clients, distributes client configuration information, and reports client inventory and messages to an SMS site server.
Management point	Installs new SMS clients, distributes client configuration information, and reports client inventory and messages to an SMS site server.
Server locator point	Provides SMS clients with information about the location of CAPs and management points. The server locator point replaces SMS 2.0's logon point.
Distribution point	Installs software on SMS clients deployed through the SMS infrastructure.
Reporting point	Provides access to Web Reports.
